Emmeline Muffet Gives Up Her Tuffet

Starboard Street Studios|2013

Synopsis

A dark and quirky take on Little Miss Muffet.

Every night for the past two months Emmeline Muffet lugs her trunk through the New York City subway to one particular bathroom at the end of the line and waits for her dad. He promised he’d meet her there before he disappeared.

But tonight she encounters Phineas, a man-shaped spider who is quite literally tormented by the psychopathic voice of his own stomach. (His name is Humphrey.) Time has run out for everyone; tomorrow Emmeline goes permanently into the DSS system, and Phineas dies if he doesn’t eat someone soon.

The clock is ticking as the streetwise girl and the hungry spider face off.
